The Signal

Uncovered Film Review

The premise? Great. The execution? Odd, very odd. While I imagine Stephen King pops into everyone's head when they see this, it doesn't bear a ton of resemblance to the book you think it rips off. That's because The Signal travels through all electronic devices that get some type of outside signal.

The movie doesn't really explain how long you have to stare at it or listen to it before you become dumb, and the ending leaves you hanging and wondering. I did however like when everyone got together and began hallucinating mid-way through the movie... it injected some much-needed humor into a movie that becomes more dark as it progresses. I don't think you're expecting the blood bath either... I think they must have accidentally made six barrels too many for The Signal. If you don't mind the graphic & sick violence, and appreciate a creative story, you'll probably like this low budget oddball film.
